Criminal law --- Charter of Rights and Freedoms — Unreasonable search and seizure [s. 8] — Reasonable expectation of privacy Police came to suspect that accused was holder of several fraudulently obtained driver's licences which he had used in past Police had used facial recognition and photo-comparison technology to compare photographs taken of driver's licence applicants — Persons using driver's licences in some of names were charged with driving offences, but never showed up for court after being released on bail — Accused brought application to exclude evidence of photographs on ground that photo-comparison technology violated his rights under s. 8 of Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms
