— Assault — Common assault — Miscellaneous Assistant manager named H was ensuring that store customers were properly masked — Accused entered building but was not wearing mask properly
— H confronted accused and asked him to put on mask properly — Accused refused to comply and he pushed H into pallets behind her — H called store manager for help and told him to call 911 because she had been assaulted — Accused pushed manager and another store employee — Accused was charged with four counts of assault and one count of resisting arrest — Three of assaults related to pushing store employees and one involved punching arresting police officer while she tried to arrest him — Accused refused to wear mandated properly-positioned face mask because he believed that Covid-19 was fake virus
— Accused convicted of all offences — All of Crown witnesses were credible and believable and they gave their evidence in calm and dispassionate manner and were unshaken in their cross-examination
— Accused, however, believed in fantastical conspiracy, that police, Crown and court all conspired against him to manipulate and to distort evidence — Crown proved beyond reasonable doubt that accused assaulted all three store employees by pushing them — Accused's behaviour continued to be obstreperous and uncooperative once he was out of store — When confronted by officer he actively and forcibly resisted lawful arrest and assaulted her, by first punching her in face and then by violently struggling with her as she tried to subdue and handcuff him — Accused's behaviour was shameful and he needed to be held accountable.
